The Wisconsin Union serves as a daily gathering place for students, faculty, staff, community members, and visitors. There are two locations: Memorial Union, on the shore of Lake Mendota, and Union South, near Camp Randall, plus there are outlying delis across the campus.
The Wisconsin Union Theater hosts almost one thousand event annually which include music, films and lecturers. The Memorial Union Terrace on Lake Mendota is the popular gathering place for the campus because of its beautiful location and vibrant atmosphere. Food is available from the Brat Stand's outdoor grill or you can have some Babcock Ice Cream at the Daily Scoop Deli or share a pizza from Lakefront on Langdon and you can even rent a sailboat, if you want.
Check the Wisconsin Union Events Calendar to see what the current entertainment might be. During the Summer, you can listen to music from bands in the "Hot Summer Nights" series that range from salsa to punk. Monday nights are for movies on the big screen.
